Although at present, a multi axis or even manipulator type pipe fitting winding unit has been developed, it cannot be popularized in the manufacturing of industrial pipe fittings for economic reasons. Therefore, the winding of pipe fittings is mostly done by hand. In the buried large-diameter pipeline, in order to reduce the cost and improve the stiffness against external pressure, a sand pipe has been developed, which reduces the pipeline cost by about 50%

1. Corrosion resistance and pollution-free

FRP pipes can resist the erosion of acid, alkali, salt, seawater, untreated sewage, corrosive soil or groundwater and many chemical fluids. Glass fiber reinforced plastic props have the excellent characteristics of non-toxic, rust free, tasteless, creating a more suitable solution, no secondary pollution to water quality and no need for corrosion prevention. Therefore, they are widely used in the water supply and drainage industry

2. Antifouling and moth resistant

unsaturated polyester resin is used on the surface of the pipeline, so its surface is clean and smooth, and will not be contaminated and mothed by shellfish, fungi and other microorganisms in the sea or sewage, resulting in increased roughness, reduced cross-section and increased maintenance costs. The pipeline has no such pollution and is as clean as before after long-term use

3. Heat resistance and frost resistance

in the state of -30 ℃, it still has good toughness and extremely high strength, and can be used for a long time in the range of -50 ℃ -80 ℃. The resin with special formula can also work at a temperature above 110 ℃

4. Light weight, high strength, convenient transportation and installation. FRP pipes produced by filament winding process have a specific gravity of 1 0, only 1/4 of steel, but the circumferential tensile strength of FRP is MPa, and the axial tensile strength is MPa, which is similar to alloy steel. Therefore, its specific strength (strength/specific gravity) is times that of alloy steel, so it can be designed to meet various requirements of internal and external pressure. For single weight GRP pipes with the same pipe diameter, only 1/2.5 of carbon steel pipes (steel rolled pipes), 1/3.5 of cast iron pipes, and about 1/8 of prestressed reinforced cement pipes. Therefore, transportation and installation are very convenient. The length of each section of GRP pipes is 12 meters, which can reduce two-thirds of the joints compared with concrete pipes. Its socket connection method is fast and simple to install, and at the same time, it reduces the hoisting cost and greatly improves the installation speed

5, small friction resistance, high conveying capacity

the inner wall of FRP is very smooth, and the roughness and friction resistance are very small. The roughness coefficient is 0.0084, while the n value of concrete pipe is 0.014 and that of cast iron pipe is 0.013. Therefore, GRP can significantly reduce the fluid pressure loss along the way and improve the transportation capacity. Therefore, it can bring significant economic benefits: when the transportation capacity is the same, FRP pipes with smaller inner diameter can be selected for the project, so as to reduce the one-time project investment; Using pipes with the same inner diameter, glass can conduct artificial aging on the samples as needed (for the samples that need to be straightened, artificial aging should be carried out after straightening). Glass steel pipes can reduce the head loss and save pumping costs compared with other materials. In addition, FRP pipes can shorten pumping time and reduce long-term operation costs

6. Good thermal insulation

FRP is a non conductor. The electrical insulation of the pipeline is excellent, and the insulation resistance is Ω Cm, which is most suitable for the heat transfer system of FRP in dense areas of power transmission and telecommunication lines and thunder prone areas. 4. Cathodic protection is not required for buried pipes, which can save more than 70% of the engineering maintenance cost

FRP pipes can be designed and manufactured into pipes with different pressure levels and stiffness levels according to various specific requirements of users, such as different flow rates, different pressures, different burial depths and loads

10. Long service life and good comprehensive benefits

Comprehensive benefit refers to the long-term nature formed by many factors, such as construction investment, installation and maintenance costs, service life, energy conservation and steel saving.
